Anti-Overshoot Oversampling Technology

 
 

Gold Clip's unique Anti-Overshoot Oversampling Technology has been added to Orange Clip. While most clippers create overs (output levels above 0.0dBFS) after downsampling, both Orange Clip and Gold Clip keep peaks below 0.0dBFS at all oversampling settings. Clip as much as you want and never go over 0.0 dBFS. 

3X More Efficient

Orange Clip's DSP is now 3X more efficient than it was in the previous version. We combed through the engine and implemented every efficiency we could find. But don't worry, even with all those efficiencies, the sound is exactly the same as it was in previous versions. Freely use the new Orange Clip at any sample rate with less impact on your CPU.

Resizable Interface

Orange Clips interface has been redesigned in vectors, enhancing the interface's clarity and allowing it to be resizable. We also improved the frame-rate of the meters & transfer function. In addition, the updated UI has improved stability on Windows and increased efficiency on both Mac and Windows platforms.

Gain Link Offset for I/O Trims & Parallel Mixer 

We have introduced Offset Linking to the I/O Trims and Parallel Mixer. 

It works like this...

  • Click the link button, and the link offset is set. If your input is +1dB, and output is 0dB, then a 1dB offset is maintained as you move the faders.

  • Shift-Drag either fader to change the offset.

  • Shift-Option-Click a fader, and the offset is reset to 0dB.

  • Or, turn linking off, make an adjustment, and then turn linking back on.

Ryan Schwabe

Schwabe Digital is an audio technology development project by Grammy-nominated and Platinum-certified mixing & mastering engineer Ryan Schwabe.

Ryan received his second Grammy nomination for "Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical" for mixing and mastering the album, Adolescence by BAYNK in 2023. His first nomination was for mixing the "Best Dance/Electronic Album" Planets Mad by Baauer in 2021. He is a platinum-certified mixing and mastering engineer, a former professor of recording arts & music production at Drexel University's Music Industry Program, and a former Vice President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Recording Academy, as well as Co-Chair of the Producer and Engineer's Wing. Currently, he is the Treasurer of the Philadelphia Chapter of the AES and the owner of Xcoustic Sound, a mixing and mastering post-production audio company. Ryan is also the owner and product designer for Schwabe Digital.
